Today I am giving away one of the ever-so-popular Erborian BB creams and, for those that were unsure, this really is the ultimate product in the BB cream market. On my recent trip to Europe this product was in all of the beauty apothecary stores and said to be a firm favourite by SpaceNK owner, Nicky Kinnaird. The other reviews have been nothing but outstanding, I cannot wait to try it!
I actually ordered one for myself a while ago (before I knew about 36Beauty - boo) and will be getting it on arrival in London in December so cannot wait to try it out. The cream is said to be a miracle in a tube - evening out skin tone, concealing dark circles, giving a youthful glow and still looking like you are au natural as it is a light fluid that blends into the skin beautifully. This truly is going to be your skin's best friend throughout summer!

Top tip - sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteSun screen to protect against those harmful rays and water, water, water to keep the skin hydrated and youthful looking. I love to drink fresh coconut water (Naryal pani in hindi) for a refreshing burst of freshness.
ReplyDeleteMoisturise and Sunscreen
ReplyDeleteFor allover glowing skin, use regular salt or sugar as an all-over body scrub in the shower ... then moisturise your skin while still damp. Your skin will feel like silk!
ReplyDeleteAvoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun's rays are strongest.
ReplyDeleteAlways wear sunscreen! First defence to ageing.
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs to regularly use an exfoliator or scrub. It can help prevent breakouts, it can help keep pore size small, it can help prevent that “dull skin” look, there really are so many reasons, but everyone should be using some sort of exfoliator or scrub. Most people have a scrub or something sitting in their cabinet. (One kind that I don’t recommend though is the apricot scrubs as they are usually too abrasive for most skin types.) If you have one sitting around, pull it out and use it! If you don’t have one, get something gentle for all skin types to start with. Read the instructions to see what is recommended and then put it in your shower. It is usually easier to rinse off in the shower. If it says to use it daily, then use it daily. If it is three times a week then pick three days, Mon/Wed/Fri or something like that so that you don’t have to remember if you used it yesterday or not. Then if you notice that it dries you out after a while, cut back on the frequency, or if it is working great then maybe you can gradually increase the frequency. You get your hair and/or nails done regularly, so do the same to take care of your skin!
ReplyDeleteHi Lindie - you are the winner of this competition. Please e-mail on toritatham@gmail.com and we will give you the credit into your 36 Boutiques account. Well done!!
DeleteWhenever I feel too hot to put on a moisturiser in summer, I just make use of a nice aloe vera after sun spray - works like a charm. Skin feels silky, without the sweaty cream mess.
ReplyDeleteIts time to reveal your skin! Exfoliating is a must. Here's a DIY recipe -
ReplyDelete1 tablespoon baking soda
warm water to moisten skin
Wet skin. Using hands or a wash cloth, rub baking soda gently on your skin. The baking soda kills germs and removes oils and dead skin cells. Rinse.
Best kept summer secret: Try keeping your skin care products in the fridge, it keeps them fresh and by being able to care for your skin with product that is cool means that your skins capillaries will constrict and you will have no more redness.Bonus!! oh and drinking more water is also always a must.
ReplyDeleteStay Away from the sun. If you cant, repeat after me: Water, Moisture,SPF 30.
ReplyDeletePs. I learned the hard by getting sunburn twice in a month:( , Now I never leave the house without my Moisturiser with an SPF of 20.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and not fizzy drinks as they tend to leave you feeling more thirsty.
ReplyDeleteSunscreen is a must especially if you are going to be outdoors.
Always have a good lipbalm with you - chapped lips during Summer is a definite No-No!
My favourite summer skin care tip is to moisturise, moisturise, moisturise and to stay hydrated! The sun can dehydrate your skin so badly so it's important! Don't forget your ears too - lipbalm on your ears does wonders in preventing sunburn on your ears :) xxxx
ReplyDeleteTo exfoliate or scrub regularly as it will prevent breakouts...but besides that, i am extremely fair as my mum is from the UK therefore my main top tip would have to be Sunscreen!!!
ReplyDeleteSunscreen, and moisturise!!!
ReplyDeleteI use a hydrating body mist to keep cool, as well as keep my skin moisturised.
ReplyDeleteCarryn @vintagekitchy
After washing my face I splash it with cool water to refresh. Then I put on my moisturiser.
ReplyDelete@NicolaLMeyer
Definitely make sure your moisturiser has an SPF in it for starters! But my best thing to use in summer is Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector as it helps keep pigmentation at bay! I'm DYING for some BB Cream! AND this has an SPF in it!!! Please can I win! :) xx
ReplyDeleteWear a sun-hat when you are in the sun, it will protect your face and head from the sun's rays...Also carry sunglasses with you all the time, and use them when you're out in the sun - it's vital to protect your eyes from the uv rays of the sun. And don't forget to drink lots and lots of water :)
ReplyDeleteI tweeted - @Roxi_23
Have realised that I am completely addicted to BB creams- am on my third tube and it's almost finished now, too. Was a bit alarmed though that one of them didn't have an SPF in it, so am super happy to see that this one does.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite skincare tip for summer is keeping my skin hydrated after swimming in salty sea water or chlorine pools- I stumbled upon a wonderful Vitamin C mist from The Body Shop which I now spritz all the time- even in the air-conditioned office at work (what a difference that has made!) It makes my skin so much softer after being in salt water so that I can smooth on my BB cream on the beach without feeling like I am scratching salt grains into my eyeballs. PLEASE PLEASE let me be the winner of a lovely new BB cream so I can continue to glow all summer long without the help of the sun! xoxox
Use rose water as a toner - its cheap, feels fresh and smells great...especially with the hot summer weather!
ReplyDeleteA few drops of Bio Oil in your bath for silky skin, a few drops of coconut oil (super cheap but super effective) in your hair for silky locks, and SBR Lipo cream on the lips for a smooth, sexy pucker.
ReplyDeleteAlways put on sunscreen!
ReplyDeleteYes I'd love to win - top skincare tip for summer: Listen to your Mama and WEAR SUNSCREEN (and a hat) ;)
ReplyDeleteExfoliate, moisturise and SPF - always wear SPF. Some self tan goes a long way too especially in the beginning of Summer.
ReplyDeleteWear sunscreen, drink plenty of fluids and exfoiate @candyangel88
ReplyDeleteI cannot survive summer without my sunscreen, my hat, a bottle of water and my lip balm!
ReplyDeletesunscreen, eyecream and lots of water.
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of washing my face with cold water in the morning during the warmer months. I feel that it tightens everything up, refreshes me and allows for a more stable surface for moisturiser and make-up.
ReplyDeleteAlso - organic make-up. Wow.

In summer switch to one of the fabulous all-in-one products that save your skin from overload. Moisturiser, sunscreen, primer, makeup... Add to that a hot sweaty day and your skin can break out. A BB cream will save you a lot of time and be so much lighter on your skin. On a hot sunny day your skin will thank you!
ReplyDeleteI keep a spray bottle* with rose water in the fridge - instantly refreshes your skin! *My empty Mac Fix+ bottle works perfectly :)
ReplyDelete@MsCharlieW
Loads of water to drink, loads of sunblock and a hat on yr head!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite tip for summer is always, always to drink as much water as possible. Cheapest and most effective way to look after your body and keep your skin looking great. :)
ReplyDeleteI keep a little bottle of rosewater spray in my handbag to apply on my skin. It soothes my rosacea that gets aggravated in the heat. I would love to have this BB cream as I hear it covers the red perfectly.
ReplyDeleteMy best summer time skin care tip is simple - ALWAYS wear sunblock :) Twitter: @Gee_Whiskers
ReplyDeleteMy summer skincare tip would be to stay out the sun as much as possible and keep wearing sunblock.
ReplyDeleteDrink lots of water, wear sunblock and a wide brim hat outdoors. @GlassPearl
ReplyDeleteKeeping my eye cream in the fridge which when applied, instantly cools and gets rid of puffy eyes.
ReplyDeleteSunscreen and keeping a rosewater facial spritzer with me at all times!
ReplyDelete@Onestiletto
Sunscreen + H20 + Hat + Sunglasses = beautiful summer skin

ReplyDeleteMy best skincare tip is exfoliate, moisturise and apply sunscreen!!
ReplyDeleteStay out of the sun between 11 and 16:00 - extremely difficult in sunny SA as we all enjoy the outdoors, but the rays are very harmful during that time. Wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen when you do not want to be housebound in perfect weather and remember to rub sunscreen all over your body; special attention to shoulders, ears, nose and back of neck.

Use cream or gel products on the face (e.g. blush, highlighter and contour) to keep skin looking natural and dewy. Keep powder products for the cooler winter days.
ReplyDeleteUse a foundation/BB cream that has at least factor 15SPF
ReplyDeletefun in the sun, definitely leaves you looking happy and glowing.
ReplyDeleteRehana Seedat email:dseedat@telkomsa.net I always use sunscreen. Have tweeted @online61524
ReplyDeleteTheola Ernest - Sunscreen followed by organic coconut oil ( I find this absorbs into my skin and does not leave an oily residue)from face to toes. "Orange Sun Juice" UV hair mask to protect my locks from the rays. Then prevent my locks from the heat of hair irons and tongs by spritzing my hair with Tigi Bed Head "Sugar Shock" spray for tousled, beachy hair :)
